BOYS LIKE GIRLS

Boys Like Girls have a great rocker look that they credit themselves for. They say they don't have to look far for inspiration because they rip each other off! Designer favorites include Diesel, MacBeth Shoes, G- Star, and Glamour Kills Accessories. The boys love shopping at Vintage boutiques. The lead singer had on a vintage U2 t-shirt and a great David Yurman dogtag necklace.

GAVIN DEGRAW

Gavin likes simple clothes like blue jeans, t-shirts, cowboy boots, and big belt buckles. Comfort is a big deal especially when your on the road a lot.
He describes his style as 1970's Americana.

RAY J

Ray J rocked a cool Phenomenon brand Skull t-shirt and Gucci shades. He loves Roberto Cavalli and enjoys working with his stylist Jen the Pen. Everyone loved his shirt backstage.

METRO STATION

The boys of Metro Station love to rock vintage shops for style inspiration. Mason had on oversized white shades. Trace had on a cool hat he picked up at Trash and Vaudeville, a shop in NYC's East Village frequented by rock stars.

JESSE MCCARTNEY

Jesse collaborates with his stylist Marjan Malakpour to create his look. His favorite designer is Marc Jacobs. He was at Kiss Concert wearing a cool pair of shades by Mosley Tribes.

WYCLEF

Wyclef says his favorite designer is Giorgio Armani and he also loves G-Star clothing. He had on custom made Puma sneaks and was sporting a Haitian bandana tied around his leg for Flag Day.

BABY BASH

Baby Bash was wearing a Christian Audigier sweatshirt and says the designer is a good friend of his. Luxury brand shoes made him custom sneakers that he had on. He likes Johnny Depp's style and is inspired by him.

SARA BAREILLES

Sara's style is inspired by rocker chicks who don't take themselves too seriously like KT Dunstall and Feist. She loves second hand store stuff to mix and match. Her stylist is Sara Leete. I asked her what her favorite makeup lines are and she included MAC and Benefit in her top picks.

LEONA LEWIS

Leona Lewis was wearing Juicy Couture at Kiss Concert . She relies on her hair and makeup artists for her performances and she looked great!

CASCADA

Cascada likes to pick out her own clothes rather than work with a stylist. Very hands on with her image, she had on a short denim skirt with bling that she added! Her favorite designers are Diesel and Phillip Plein. She does her own hair and makeup and loves color and sparkle! Her favorite makeup is Revlon Colorstay. Cascada's eye makeup matched my hair!

 

FERRAS

Ferras' favorite designers are Neal Barrett and
Alexander Mcqueen (opening a store on Melrose Ave. in LA soon!). He was backstage at Kiss Concert with a cool cross necklace by Black and Blue. Ferras relies on a stylist sometimes but also likes to do his own thing. Jessica Pastor and Neal Sperling are stylists he's had a great time working with.

CHIKI

I asked local musician Chiki some questions about her unique personal style. She loves the Garment District in Cambridge, MA and is very inspired by color, theatre, and drama . Dolce & Gabanna and Betsey Johnson are her favorite designers. You can't help but notice Chiki's fun personal flair and she says she loves to express that. Cyndi Lauper is her inspiration for style. My hair matched her lipstick!

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK

I spoke to Mark Anthony, hair stylist to NKOTB backstage.

Mark Anthony says they all have "really good self style". They are pros and know what they like. He'll do minimal makeup (just a ittle powder) when needed for on camera and photoshoots but none for performances. They are humble and he enjoys working with them.
